What's New
Our E-Booth, Engraving for you!
November 1, 2010
For
those who've been ordering dog related items on my site - thanks and welcome to
the new look. With the help of several experts I'm making it easier to see what
I have to offer and to order. I hope to have more of the folks I've dealt with
over the past 30 years find my e-booth. One negative of not being on the road
as much is not seeing long time customers and meeting new ones. So if you like
what you see tell a friend if not tell me.

A First.
Wheeling my display booth and equipment into a show sometime during the last six months I was confronted with my own mortality. I was negotiating the doorway, alternating with dog people moving their dogs and equipment int the building. The sill strip wa proving to be an obstacle. As I was straining to move the rollout across it, a helpful fellow senior citizen called out "help the old man through the door". It was the first time I'd been referred to that way.Our Next Shows in 2011

Judge's Pins
The judge's pins are solid brass. As the information is engraved into the brass, it won't wear off. I offer 3 types of attachment -pin, clutch (think tie tack) and at an additional charge, magnet. The magnet backs have become more popular as the strength of the magnets has improved. It also seems that the small size is more popular than in the past. Anecdotally, some clubs have ordered pins as judge's gifts. The list provided to me often includes a title - Mr., Mrs., Ms., Dr etc. However my experience has been that 90% ot the time a pin is ordered by an individual, no such title is requested.

Pet Tags - ID tags for dogs and cats
For Pet Tags, I've been answering the question "what information should I have on my dog's ID" for30 years. My thought is if I encounter a dog that appears lost, I need a phone number to contact its owner. If I want to keep the dog, knowing its name is helpful. More recently the idea of two phone numbers - home and cell - seems to make sense. Ring or "S" hook for attachment? If the "S" hook is closed well with pliers, it is the strongest. The ring can be separated with a small screwdriver or metal nail file for attaching and being continous it is very secure. One caution: when attaching a lead to a collar be sure to connect to the heavy ring and not the ID tag ring.
