The writing on our IDs won't wear off.
It is cut into the tag by rotary engraving.
The size and shape of the
letters is adjusted for maximum legibility.
The hanging brass tags are 1/16" thick and the plastic tags
are 1/8". They can be engraved on both sides. We can put a lot of information on a tag but the more there
is the smaller the print.
I am frequently asked what information should be
on an ID tag. What info would
YOU need to contact a pet's owner? My
answer is a phone number. Many
customers ask me to engrave only the phone number and "REWARD". Others add information about any medical condition. Some
include an additional phone number and some want the pet's name, owner,
city, state and phone number.
All Pet Tag Prices include 3 lines of information with a maximum number of spaces as
indicated.

We refer to this type of
tag as a "Pet ID". These tags can be engraved on both sides (charges for
additional lines apply) They are attached using metal "S" hooks,
or rings
and hang from the collar.

We refer to this type of tag as
a "Collar Tag" These tags are attached either by rivets or one type is a
"slide on" for collars up to 1/2" in width and 1/4" thick.
A hammer is needed to attach rivets. These tags can be engraved on only one
side and each is limited to the number of spaces per line and number of
lines as listed below.
